EveryBody-LOSES Questions & Answers
Is there a free workshop or Q & A meeting to find out more and meet the team of trainers?
Absolutely. Come and meet the EBF Team Trainers along with past and present participants in the program Thursday, Jan. 7th, 7:00 pm, at THE HEIGHTS. We will review the program, answer all questions and concerns, and listen to a few testimonials from current participants. Call Rebecca Boillat at #882-5594 to RSVP.
When does the program begin?
Thursday,Jan. 14th, 7:00 pm at Richmond Heights Community Center. After this initial meeting, there will be ~4-5 “Weigh In / Meeting” times scheduled the next week and every week after for the next 12 weeks.
When does it end:
Saturday, April 10th, (12 Weeks Total) – The EveryBody-LOSES Finale Weigh In & Community Picnic..
Where is it taking place?
Weigh In / Meeting’s will be at THE HEIGHTS and at the Webster Groves Rec Complex, although, we will be holding “Last Chance”-style surprise workouts at various locations inside and outside during the program. For example, we may email everyone next Monday and let you know about a “First Come, First Serve Workout” at Maplewood track the following Wednesday night at 5:30 pm. These workouts are included in the price and program, and each of the EveryBodyFIT trainers will be holding one or more of these workouts.
When will the weigh in’s be held?
Admittedly, this is the most difficult part of the program, as we are currently scheduling trainers’ and participants’ schedules to coincide and accommodate everyone involved. The following is a tentative schedule, and is subject to change. Please let us know what day or time works for you when you register:
- Monday early evening – The Heights
- Tuesday early evening – Webster Groves
- Wednesday mid morning – The Heights
- Thursday evening – Webster Groves
- Saturday mid morning – The Heights
You can see these times coincide with boot camps and group training opportunities.
Do you have to be taking a boot camp or other EBF Opportunity to participate in EB-LOSES?
You DO NOT have to be a part of boot camp or group training to participate. As with our other programs, we hope this program is a kick start and complement to your current and future effort. If you are in the program, you are eligible for Discounted Personal Training sessions at The Heights and Webster Groves.
Do I need to have a weight loss goal to participate?
No, as anyone can participate and benefit for the increased accountability, community support, and competitive spirit of this program. If your current goal is to simply “exercise more”, or to quit smoking, you will be receive the guidance and support for reaching those goals.
Do I have a chance to win if my goal is only to lose 5 lbs?
We are planning to award 3 Finalists, hoping to have an overall winner. As the name states, keep in mind this is primarily a Weight Loss Competition, but those of you who make positive strides towards your health and fitness goals will receive recognition. We will be recording other factors that will be taken into account for the winner including how many times per week you are exercising (especially compared to before the competition started), total weight loss, body mass index measurements, nutritional considerations, smoking cessation, etc.
Who are the EveryBodyFIT Personal Trainers? Do I know who is going to be my team trainer?
We have a team of "Fitness Coaches" who are made up of Master Degreed professionals, a Certified Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant, and several certified personal trainers. To check out current Team Bio Page, click here. Team Coaches will be decided upon by what Weigh In / Meeting time and location works for you. Team numbers will be capped appropriately to evenly disperse participants. Your team coach will be contacting you by Monday of the first week of the competition.
“Personal care and guidance from their Certified Fitness Professional "Team Coach)” sounds great, but what exactly does this mean?
For the course of the 12 week program, your Fitness Coach, along with those in your group, will know what you are doing, how you are eating, and when you will see success. Each week, we will discuss a goal, and you will be responsible for writing down what your plan is for the week, (this will be designed and checked by your team trainer), then you will report with your activity/nutrition journal for that week each time you come into weigh in. Remember your old school Home Economics class in High School, when you had to carry that egg with you everywhere you went? This is what this journal is going to be for you. You will be given a goal and plan for the week, and will come each week with your sheet in hand to tell the group what you did. Team’s will be docked points at the end if someone does not bring their sheet in, and this will serve as a tie breaker at the end when tallying up winners in the final week. You will also receive a weekly phone call, email, AND text, every week, to insure you are sticking to your plan and goals for that week, along to answer any random questions you may have. Coaches will be accessible at all times for feedback and questions.
The EveryBodyFIT Coaches are committing to working with their teams in each of these capacities and more. We hope that with this format, along with the community support and competition among all participants, we will all reach our goals!
How “public” will the weekly weigh in's be?
This is completely optional. The only person seeing your actual weight will be your team trainer, unless you have to drop in to another group weigh in, then that particular trainer will see the weight. We do not plan to post your weight on a score board in front of 10 million people as on TV. We do want to provide the community support and accountability though that comes with getting on a scale with peers around you. We want to provide support through the tougher weeks, and celebrate every success we find in the following 12 weeks.
And what will the discussions be like?
We aim to have a short topic for discussion this week along with “homework” for that particular week. The homework is 3 parts, an Activity and Nutrition Challenge, along with a Reflection for the week that all go hand in hand for making lifetime changes. We may go over a food journal, or discuss healthy snack ideas, or cover information such as exactly what each participant’s heart rate should be when burning calories doing cardio.
What is the cost of the program?
$100 / 6 weeks, payable by either 6 weeks or the entire 12 week program. (*Sign up for all 12 weeksfor $180, or $90 per 6 weeks!) Please keep in mind the Fitness Coaches per hour rate ranges from $50-$60+.
How do I guarantee myself a spot?
Call or email Rebecca Boillat at #314-882-5594 or email her to schedule a payment and sign up for the program. We are sending this email out to many people who have expressed interest, but please understand we have a limited number of spots left, so please contact us as soon as possible so we can begin sending our initial assessment sheets and scheduling your weigh in days and times.
